Merry Christmas! ¡Feliz Navidad! Buon Natale! 圣诞快乐! Feliz Natal!
I hope you had a happy Christmas yesterday, and that you’re continuing to have a wonderful Christmas season. A special verse I’d like to share from the Christmas story is Luke 2:11-15.
“Today a Savior, who is Messiah the Lord, was born for you in the city of David. This will be the sign for you: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in cloth and lying in a feeding trough.”
Suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:
Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and peace on earth to people He favors!
When the angels had left them and returned to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go straight to Bethlehem and see what has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”
A pastor at my church once made the observation about how Jesus was born in a barn. Jesus came to die for our sins as a Living Sacrifice. Sacrifices are born in a barn. By believing in Christ as Lord and Savior, it is possible to be forgiven and freed from the strangles of sin. We can have peace in Him.
