Hebrews 12:1-3

This morning, I read in Psalms, but also happened upon Hebrews 12:1-3. It says:

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us,  keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne.

Fatherly Discipline

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you won’t grow weary and lose heart.

The Lord has a plan for your life. He uses trials to help you grow and to shape your character.

I have participated in three walk/run half marathons. When you are training, it may not always feel fantastic, but after a few weeks, it becomes more feasible. When you go out on the day of the race, it’s hard to make it through! When you finish though, it’s fantastic, because not everyone attempts 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons or full marathons.

Persevere through difficulty – it’s worth it. You will find yourself growing closer to Jesus as you face your hardest challenges.
