On another note, you may know that I make quarterly contributions to my favorite nonprofits – as close to the first of the month as possible (June 1st, in this case). Please feel free to join me! I have listed links to their pages below.
American Center for Law and Justice – defends Christians in the courtroom – throughout the nation and the world
Matrix Lifecare Pregnancy Center – provides free ultrasounds, classes for new mothers and baby supplies
Chaplain’s Alliance for Religious Liberty – supports chaplains in their work and defends the right to freedom of religion
Vision of Hope Treatment Center – offers residential treatment and counseling for eating disorders, self-harm, and other similar challenges
Heritage Foundation – conservative think tank which provides in-depth studies on a wide variety of issues – it offers detailed perspectives from experts
Some of these organizations, like Matrix Lifecare Pregnancy Center, also accept new items such as baby bottles. It is possible to order these online and have them shipped to the organization directly – I have done this before. I also send items to the veteran’s home closest to me – there is often a need for toiletries, blankets, and clothing (particularly underwear). Gift cards are appreciated too, because the residents cannot leave to go shopping.
